Scott Efird

Prior to joining St. Amand & Efird PLLC, Mr. Efird practiced at the Charlotte office of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP focusing on the representation of commercial and residential developers, builders, landlords and tenants in a wide variety of real estate projects, including the leasing, acquisition, development and financing of retail shopping centers, office complexes, mixed-use developments and residential subdivisions.
In response to the ever-changing economy, Mr. Efird also has extensive experience in loan refinances, workouts, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and loan sales. Mr. Efird offers the depth of experience and sophistication from his prior practice with a practical approach at exceptional value for each client. Mr. Efird is a native Charlottean and an active member of Providence United Methodist Church.
Derek Hoselton

Mr. Hoselton focuses his practice on commercial real estate law, representing developers, landlords, title insurance companies, homebuilders, lenders and individual property owners on a range of mixed-use, planned development, retail development and retail leasing matters. Prior to joining St. Amand & Efird, Mr. Hoselton was the in-house legal counsel for The Morgan Companies (formerly Morgan Property Group), where he gained extensive knowledge of commercial retail real estate development and management.
The experience he gained while serving in-house with The Morgan Companies gives Mr. Hoselton a unique perspective on real estate developers and commercial retail center owners, including extensive knowledge and understanding of their goals and concerns, which allows him to fully appreciate the interplay between the business concerns and the legal issues surrounding real estate transactions. This gives Mr. Hoselton the tools he needs to effectively communicate with clients regarding every aspect of those transactions, from LOI, through acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of assets. In addition to Mr. Hoselton’s work with commercial retail developers, Mr. Hoselton also works closely with national homebuilders in acquisitions, development and dispositions of property. Mr. Hoselton’s unique experience has provided him with the practical knowledge of business considerations and familiarity with legal matters that allows him to assist his clients effectively and in a cost-effective manner.
Paul Comer

Mr. Comer focuses his practice on commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial real estate transactions, representing associations, builders, businesses, developers, landlords, lenders, and title insurance companies. Prior to joining St. Amand & Efird PLLC, Mr. Comer maintained a real estate practice in Mooresville, North Carolina, handling complex commercial transactions and often assisting businesses and entities in the region’s motorsports industry. Mr. Comer has handled all aspects of real estate closings and has searched and certified title as an approved attorney for major national title insurance companies. A lifelong resident of North Carolina, including 24 years in the Mint Hill/Matthews area, Mr. Comer is committed to providing versatile legal services to his clients while furthering the growth, development, and prosperity of the Charlotte region.
